Be A Chalice Bearer or Lay Reader!

Want to Have a bigger role?
We are currently looking for youth who would like to have a bigger role in the worship service. Would you like to be a chalice bearer? Would you like to read the day's bible lessons? If so, please contact Alexandra to let her know. In your e-mail to Alexandra, please include some dates in the next month that you would be able to meet for a training with Jim Cameron, the Coordinator of Lay Assistants. We hope to get you on the schedule by spring.

Being a chalice bearer or reader isn't as hard as it may seem.

Just ask Joe Haddad who's been reading since he was ten. Or Miranda Wilson (reading this Sunday!) who started when she was even younger.

To be a chalice bearer you must be confirmed and go thru some simple training.

Plus, as a CB you get to wear those cool black and white robes!

If the timing is right, we can get you trained and serving by Christmas.

To see who's already in the Lay Assistant gang, click on this link: http://www.saintlukesdarien.org/LayAssts.html

Any questions, e-mail me (Cameron06820@gmail.com) or call me (655-0138). Or ask Alexandra.

Thanks for letting my blog here.
